Twice Emmy nominated Sean Fullan is one of the most creative, dedicated and experienced editors in the industry. His unique and accomplished background in both film and music, and his expertise in multi-camera editing, make him sought after by discriminating clients in both New York and Los Angeles.

Sean Fullan began his career as a teenager behind mixing boards for local music groups along the Northern California coast. A graduate of the highly respected Broadcast Communication Arts program at San Francisco State University, he cut his teeth recording demos for bay area artists as well as working on student films and television programs. Upon graduating, Sean moved to Los Angeles to join the staff at Filmways/Heider Recording. His talent, enthusiasm and hard work catapulted him into the spotlight while working with the Rolling Stones. Sean would soon earn a credit on Emotional Rescue album recorded in Paris, France. This opportunity led to a three-year apprenticeship with legendary Producer/Engineer Glyn Johns in London, England.

Sean returned stateside and was inspired by the unfolding computer revolution. While working on a music video in New York, he saw computerized edit suite and never looked back. With a co-production and engineering credit for Lou Reed’s Blue Mask, in addition to numerous records under his belt as an apprentice, Sean turned his sights to video editing , fully embracing video post production.

Starting as an assistant editor, he once again honed his craft and developed his skills quickly moving into the on-line editing chair at Unitel Video. In the late 1980’s, he saw that low cost computer editing systems would take over the creative part of the business. He formed his own business, STF Editorial, to pursue the creative decision making process which was moving toward off-line edit rooms.

As an independent editor Sean provides clients with both the creative cut and the on-line conform, complete with effects and color correction, skillfully bringing all the creative ideas to fruition. Whether editing a high definition, 36 camera long- form concert DVD, a television program or a promo, Sean Fullan brings his passion and powerful, creative acumen to his work.
